- Medical Eye Exams: Using your MEDICAL INSURANCE (Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.) we can diagnose and manage most medical eye problems: cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic exams, glaucoma, floaters, eye infections/irritations, styes, and red eyes. Medical insurance will usually help pay for any medical testing, procedures, medicine or surgeries needed to manage your conditions. Medical insurance will usually NOT help pay for the measurement of eyeglass prescriptions or the purchase of new eyewear. Please take time to review the copays, deductibles, and other details of your plan
- Vision Plan Exams: Using your VISION PLAN (VSP, Eyemed, Heratage, etc.) we can provide new eyeglass/contact lens prescriptions and a basic eye health exam to determine if further medical eye care is needed. Vision plans usually help pay for one “well-visit” each year and assist with the purchase of basic eyewear. Vision plans do NOT diagnose or manage any medical conditions. Most vision plans do not help with the purchase of custom specialty contact lenses
